I had a '99 XK8 coupe and have ridden in the back of it for about a hour-long trip. I am 5'10" and was sitting behind someone who was 5'7". Headroom was the biggest problem for me due to the slope of the top of the car.

I believe the coupe has slightly more leg room than the convertible for the rear seat.

If it isn't something they will have to do regularly, I am sure your daughters will be more than willing to put up with the discomfort of the back seat for a short jaunt if they have to. Remember when you were there age? If you're anything like me, you would have been happy to even ride in the trunk of such a cool car. *grin*
