I work at a car dealer and a guy traded in an XK8 conv. I brought the car home and parked the car in front of my house and set the parking brake. I raised the parking brake handle to the left of the driver's seat and I expected it to stay in the up position--it didn't. Is this normal or is the thing broken. How do I release the parking brake now. Please help.

Thanks.

Dan,

To release the parking brake, raise the handle until you feel resistance. While pulling up, press and hold the release button on the end of the handle. Pull it up a bit further until you feel the latch release, then, while still holding the button, lower the handle.

Regards,
Carl
