I have a 97 XK8 convertible with 28,000 miles. Overall, it hs been an excellent vehicle that I would definately buy again. My biggest problem was with the boot cover. You will note that the boot cover is installed by attaching two side fasteners, and the back is attached by closing the trunk to secure it. The front of the boot cover has a flap that simply tucks behind the rear seats. It has the tendancy to become dislodged in windy driving conditions. The 98's and newer have a much longer flap, which mostly corrects the problem. After extensive negotiations, I finally convinced Jaguar to replce mine with a newer version free of charge. These things cost over $800! good luck and enjoy!
