Just purchased XK8 - 1999 - Red -White interior - Tan convertible top - 19K miles - emaculate condition! I don't know what possessed me, but I really love the car. It is in the garage next to my significant others' Porsche Boxster - 2001. It is red also, almost identical color. He spends a lot of time on the "Boxster Board" - now I have a "Board" to share thoughts, exchange information.
I have a Lexus, RED SC300, 5-speed, 62K miles to sell. I hate to sell, but what an awesome replacement.
Any words of wisdom for a new "XK8" owner?
You are really going to enjoy the XK8. I also have a 99 XK8 conv. alpine green, tan interior and black top with 8,000 miles. I am a CPA and somewhat inherited it from a friend/client who passed away in Feb. of 2001. The car only had 3,950 miles when I got it on May 11th. I am 53 years old as was the prior owner. I think up
errands in order to get a chance to drive the car. I did an exchange with a company called East Coast Plating and got my wheels chromed. It really dressed the car up. The XK8 replaced a 98 BMW Z3 2.8 that I gave myself as a 50th birthday present.

Sorry about your client/friend but you got a nice car as part of your memory. Enjoy as I know I will!
