So, a follow up message. This mess continues, I have now been without my car for a week and a half. Took them 4 days to find and repair the exhaust leak, turned out to be the header collector point of the exhaust as well as a crack EGR tube. I left the car on a Wednesday and picked it up on Monday. Driving home that night I was quite satisfied that the problem was fixed. The next morning while driving in to work the Engine Check light turned on. I immediately drove back to the dealer, dropped it off and drove off in a Ford Contour...yuck. They have spent all of last week working with the factory trying to find the problem, as of friday night no luck. In the process the mechanic believes he has located another exhaust leak (didnt tell me where) and the suspension bushings are cracked. Monday they replace the bushings and hopefully find the problem with the Engine Check light. This car has 16,000 miles on it now..seems like alot of trouble for a car thats so young. I'm not a very satisfied customer. Although I am happy that the mechanic is being so thorough.
