The guy who had the vibration problem got it solved, turned out to be balancing. Apparently Pirelli had to get involved as the dealer wasn't able to do it right the first (few) time(s)

I have a similar problem with my new set of tires, just replaced at 10k, except that the vibration is felt more thru the chassis than the steering indicating a rear out of balance instead of a front.

I have to bring it back. it's a pain...

on the other hand, when I got the XJR a few months ago, a 99 select edition with 16k, they replaced the rear tires (18") and they were balanced right the first time.

Speaking of which, and speaking of service, the car came with some Directionale up front just like the XKR instead of the normal XJR set up of 4 assymetrico. When they replaced the rear assymetrico they went and mount the new assymetrico up front and the directionale up front... I had to make them switch them when I picked up the car... luckily I went instead of my wife !

Finally, re your steering wheel tilt problem, it seems to be a usual bug as many people on Modern have reported such problems on earlier x300s.
