Pascal--
MG Racing does carry the Arden line. I hope the owner of MG Racing will post a followup to you--he is a big fan of Jaguars as well.
I am extremely intersted in the 20" wheels, lower suspension and Brembo brakes that Jaguar is selling as the R package in the UK but it's not avaialable here.
I'm interested in the suspension as well. Mary on this forum below expressed an interest in it, but I never heard whether she installed it or not. Arden is supposed to make very high-quality products. I am particularly interested in the 6-speed manual conversion they are working on.
Does anyone have any experience with Arden products / MG Racing ? It's certainly an alternative to the R options.
I haven't purchased anything from Arden (yet), but I have dealt with MG Racing before for BMW products. They have some nice accessories hard-to-get products and are very reputable.
BTW, I run the car ar local speedtrials ( like an autocross with no slalom which turns the course into a 3/4 miles road course where we do sequences of multiple laps ) and it draw a lot of attentions from C5, BMWs, drivers, some of them are having a hard time keeping up...
How are your times comparing against cars like the M roadster and M3? I have an XK8 that I bought after selling my M roadster, but I haven't had a chance to autocross the XK8 yet. I'd prefer not to do it on the stock tires (and apparently with reason, since you replaced your stock tires after 10k miles... ;)
My car is the one on the front page of this site. The dealership had already put the XKR grill in it, so please don't accuse me of trying to copy the look of an XKR! I did have them swap XKR wheels onto it because I wanted 18" wheels rather than the 17" ones that were on the coupe standard.
Anyway, I'm curious about how well the car will do in an autocross situation due to its weight. It certainly accelerates well, but its heft can be felt in corners, so I am sure it will take some getting used to on an autocross course.
