We all obviously feel let down, but looking at the article in this weeks Autocar, there appear to be technical reasons in addition to the heavy hands of the bean counters. Guy Salmon have been quite quick in refunding my deposit (without any interest for the year+ they've been sat on it, I note) so, what are the alternatives?

Top runners for me right now are (new)
Porsche Boxter (this/next years revamp) c£38k
TVR £30k and up

or (pre-loved)
rebuilt E-Type (isn't that what I really wanted in the first place?) c£40k
XK convertible c£40k

Any other suggestions?
