Mr Lawty - Many thanks for sparing the time to speak to me - I was very
sorry that you did not feel that I addressed the situation to your
satisfaction, as this was certainly not my intention.
It is my understanding that you will shortly be receiving written
communication from Jaguar Cars regarding our decision, but in the meantime,
I would be happy to discuss the matter in more detail with yourself at your
convenience.
Many Thanks
Andrew Shaw

Dear Mr.Shaw,
When we spoke earlier today, I was somewhat taken aback by both the tone of
your voice and condescending way in which you spoke to me. As you were doing
all the talking and giving me little chance to put forward my point of view
or feelings in this matter, I asked that we did not continue with our
fruitless conversation (if that is what you can call it) and asked that you
replied to me more fully by e-mail.
Thank you for pointing out to me that in all the 19 years of working for
Jaguar, nobody has said that you were condescending or arrogant, I too
apologise that you came across to me as being so.
Frankly, customers are not interested in excuses, they are interested in
hard facts and reasoning behind why Jaguar arrived at its decision to defer
the production of the F-Type. After all, expectations were raised, promises
were made, deposits were taken and then customers left frustrated, angry and
yes, bitter when jaguar effectively pulled the plug on the F-Type production
which may now never see the light of day.
I look forward to receiving your explanation in due course.
Yours Sincerely
Robert John Lawty MCIM, HCIMA.
