Dear Mr.Harkin,

Please visit http://www.xk8.net/ftype/messages/wwwboard.cgi to see the various messages about the F-Type posted internationally, including my own and the one I have posted today on this website for people to see.

Naturally, I am very dissappointed by the turn of events and like many other customers and dealers alike, feel very let down, frustrated and ANGRY by Jaguar. Two years ago I had contemplated buying the XK8 but immediately placed a £500.00 deposit with Dutton Forshaw in Maidstone when Jaguar announced that the F-Type would be launched in 2004/2005. Since then, I have heard nothing at all from Jaguar or the dealer but have relied on tit bits of information from other sources worldwide and the press.

Perhaps Jaguar will think that this will all blow over and people wil forget this project but you are mistaken. Sports car enthusiasts will remember and will not trust Jaguar in the future but like me, will now place an order for an Audi TT or other reputably produced car with the backing of a company that honours its commitments in the market place. After all, if the F-Type was just a concept and nothing else, then Jaguar should not have announced the launch of the F-Type or allow its dealers worldwide to have taken any deposits against its future production and supply.

Yes, I am very frustrated, feeling let down and disappointed and perhaps at the age of 43 tomorrow, I am an overgrown schoolboy looking forward to driving his dream car but that happened to be a Jaguar F-Type and not any other car! Am I prepared to wait ? yes, but only with a firm commitment from Jaguar with something concrete and not dreams!

Your comments would be most appreciated please

Kind Regards

Robert Lawty
