I would think XK replacement is rather far away.. facelift with 4.2 engines is quite certain though.

X-type will most likely receive a few diesel engines and an estate version, perhaps even a coupe. 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 and R, two diesel engines, 6 x 2 (sedan and estate) and you've got 12 variants already. Perhaps a few coupes and convertibles ;-)

I wish they'd delivered the F-type sooner than later but from commercial point of view it makes sense to make the X-type more comparable to the german competition. Overall the X-type has received very good remarks from the press and the problems can be fixed with future versions.
