I ran an Elise S1 for eighteen months, bit of a glorified kit car, good fun in the right conditions, like a big sports bike. I hope the F-Type, if built is a lot more sophisticated.

If the car is postponed until a date after 2005, I'm just going to have to forget about it for awhile. Have you guys seen the Lotus Elise (S2)? It will be on sale in the US sometime in 2003. The price will be $38,500 (according to Autoweek). It has a lot in common with the F-Type, but the main difference is that we will be able to buy it in the near future!
