details are a bit sketchy, but the following is to the best of my knowledge:


Is it to be built on the same platform as the XK8/R?

no--it will be on its own platform, much lighter and smaller than the xk8/xkr.


What's the estimated price range?

rumors have been in the 40s to compete with the boxster and z3


Performance range?

if one of the versions has the v8 in it from the xk8, it will be incredible.


Convertible or open top racer?

convertible--the side windows and front window we've seen on the show cars are probably not going to make it to production--they want a nice roadster to compete with the boxster/z3 market, and it will need a convertible top to have broad appeal.
