The In-Dash CD is an option if you are buying the X-type. MSRP $200 ($170
invoice). But if you already own your x-type and would want one, it's $500+.

Isn't that ridiculous? How can the price be much higher? i can understand if
say, you pay $200+labor cost, but i don't think the labor cost to have the
current cassette setup changed to an in-dash is $300.

Has anyone attempted to negotiate a deal to get it at atleast MSRP?

The story I got from my dealership is that they have to swap out the entire radio unit, not just the $200 deck. Labor is (allegedly) minimal. I'm not committing to this yet, still exploring options.
