Your right, the drive shaft mid bearing noise is mainly apparent when the temp drops - however I have it opn good authority that Jaguar have changed the bearing in new models and new drive shafts are available and 'should ' not be a problem now - it was a major major problem for many ( not mine fortunately).
The trick also is that the drive shaft must be perfectly re-aligned on reassembly by the dealer, otherwise vibration and other noises happen
Go for the purchase, its a super car in the snow and icy conditions being 4WD.

Does anyone have news on replacement noisy drive shaft? I'm thinking of buying but hesitate since in Canada, winter is cold and noises occured especially when cold, from what I read.
