Dark colors exterior, light interior (archive)

I agree with most styling analysts that the side view is too busy with horizontal lines used to make the car look longer. These lines are too obvious in the lighter colors. However, when it comes to aesthetics, too each his own. I think the cabin appears too tight in Charcoal due to the high dash, low roof and rather narrow interior dimensions compared with external width. In addition, the charcoal plastic, surrounding areas such as the window buttons, has a cheap plastic look that doesn't properly match the color of the charcoal leather and vinyl. The lighter plastics do properly match the interiors. Having said that however, the charcoal and reddish interior,not available in the US, appears quite attractive in photos.
Which color did you pick for your X-Type and why?? If anyone has any pictures of their cars feel free to submit them.
