Re: British Racing Green. (archive)

I liked the Platinum, but it's the most common color sold, and I wanted mine to be less common. I liked the quartz, but the dealer sold the charcoal interior, and only had ivory interiors left with those, and I didn't think that matched.
I went with the British Racing Green, because that color has always been associated with a Jaguar in pictures over the years, and I liked the way it looked. I didn't care for the emerald. I hear they're coming out with a metallic BRG, I hope it doesn't look blue in the sunlight like the emerald did!

Which color did you pick for your X-Type and why?? If anyone has any pictures of their cars feel free to submit them.

I have a 2.5 auto in BRG and agree that the color has associations with Jag.
The color washes and polishes beautifully - today at Calais a coach load of Brazilians arrived as we waited to board the ship, one lady asked if she could sit in the car for a photo - I hope the
cars behind us did not mind being held up!
Apart from the color, this car is effortless to drive.
