Conti tires are the weak point of X types handling. They are squealing and giving up grip well before suspension does. I will be replacing them. Didn't get sport option for several reasons, but 2 important ones are 17" rims that will dent easily and sport seats that eat up headroom. In the lowest position my head was touching liner. The key for me is to put far grippier tires on the original rims.
Good Question Anthony, I think they were yokohamas, but not sure. believe it or not I didnt look closely at the brand but did remember thinking to myself the tread pattern was pretty wild looking.
I wonder though how much better the X would handle with the sport tires, as I have the 3.0 without the sport option. (could stand the sport seats.
One point I didnt mention, was that the BMW seemed to get up to 100mph range faster than the jag. I havent been able to test that particular scenario in the right conditions yet on the freeway.
