The e-mail referred to is for noise from the rear brakes. I am unaware of any pattern-failure brake
noise from the front.

The noise won't be hard to find. It's a known problem and Jag has posted an e-mail to all dealers about it. It is a brake pad rubbing on the rotor when turning. The simple fix is to bevel the leading edge of the pad so that it doesn't dig into the rotor and then putting some antisieze compound on the caliper bracket.
