I'd recommend to see '03 S-Type in person. This is awesome car. However, you are right it inherits most of interior design from X-Type and center console looks quite ugly. It inherited and problem also, after 100 feet of test driving '03 S-Type, orange alert lamp went up and gearbox fault message appeared. So, I have to change car and second one was excited me. So, will go for S-Type, no underpowered ugly problemless Lexus for me.

BTW, while I'm here, I noticed the picture of the 2003 S-Type's interior on edmunds.com. Is it just me, or does it look an awful lot like the X-Type's interior? Especially the center console. Just wondering.....
