As for the styling, i would make the hood a touch longer(a inch or two) and think that the side moulding is unnecessay and would definately clean up the look of the car. I do too like the side clean look on the S-type better.

I agree that the S-Type does look better without the side moulding. I thought that the X-type might too, so I edited a picture of my X-Type with Photoshop to remove the moulding. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it ends up making the car look too tall and the doors look too narrow. I think the moulding is needed to draw out a car that is just a little too short.
