I bought my X-type less then Two weeks ago. It is a program car w/ 5700 miles on it. I can't begin to list the problems i'm already having....First and foremost.....My Salesman (John)
Then we got:
Leaky Washers,
Trim around sunroof peeling,
New Shock Absorber,
Replaced tire w/ Chunk taken out of it before delivery, Another noise i'm starting to hear going over bumps,
I'm paying for a in-dash CD player that is on "BACKORDER" till whenever.
Ect...
The list really does go on, but I will say I LOVE DRIVING MY CAR.

The first rule to buying a new Jag is make sure the Dealer is reputable. Two weeks into my new car, and my Dealer cringes everytime I call (John). He is no longer returning my phone calls. Long story short, He messed up the paperwork, and needed me to fax him documents ASAP. My answer was I need my CD player and everything fixed ASAP. He asked what one had to do w/ the other. I explained that if he expects me to jump for him, I expect him to jump for me. He asked what problems I was having w/ the car. He actually chuckled when I told him about the Leaky Washer Nozzles. What not a big enough ordeal for him to deal with. I asked him to list all my complaints and set me up w/ Service. He said I should call service myself (It would be easier). Then I got a little angry. I told him to take care of my problems. Get the situation fixed and call me back. He agreed, we hung up and that was the last I heard of him. Of course his Partner (George) called ten minutes later. I was real quick to tell them I did not appreciate their Tag-Team Tactics. He said he had no idea I just got off the phone w/ John. (Yea right) I explained to George my problems and he seemed reluctant to help me. He just wanted to know when I was sending over the documents. I told him I would have the documents Faxed over to him by close of business tomorrow. I let him know how dissappointed I was w/ the customer service I was recieving after the sale. He didn't care, he just wanted to hang up the phone. I am still faxing them documents to complete this transaction. (Unfortunately, The Lease IS already signed for so I can't back away) Don't get me wrong, the dealership has been wonderful so far. It seems John messed up the deal and was trying to fix it as quietly as possible. He just wasn't willing to actually get up from his desk and do some legwork for me.
On a good note, The service Dept.(Warren)and Sales Manager (Jack) have been GREAT. Thank god some people understand Customer Service. With the first major problem I had on the Date of Delivery, They took care of everything from getting the car fixed ASAP to a loaner Jag....Thanks guys.
