I purchased my 2.5 X-Type last March and I haven't had any problems whatsover (knock on wood!). I was set on buying the Mercedes C320 but after seeing the Jag, I was impressed with its exterior styling and interior accomodations. When I actually test drove the cars (both 2.5 and 3.0), the handling was just superb and very refined. The C320 seems too dead as far as road feel and the BMW 330i (another car i was interested in) seem too small and sporty for my tastes. They are all great cars...big reason why i didn't get the 330i is because I used to drive a 325 and had so many electrical problems, its amazing no one talks about it. The C320 looks great exterior wise but its interior is just too plain jane and bland and cheap looking. The X-Type on the other hand is a great balance of exterior, interior, performance, handling, price, and that classic look and feel only a Jaguar can provide. Test drive all these cars and see and feel for yourself...because after all the innuendoes and smoke and BIG talk and troll baiting, and JAG-BASHING/MBZ-BASHING/BMW_BASHING is all gone, you are the one paying for that piece of machinery and your opinion will be the one that matters. I made my choice and I'm still happy and motoring.
