I have also discovered the a little added weight balanced properly in the boot inhances the ride.

That sixty pounds in my X-type is as follows: a nice picinic basket with all the goodies (nonperisable) a bottle or two of White Star,(ice and perishables purchased or included just before the outing), a couple of fold up captains chairs, a folding aluminum table to hold all the goodies, umbrella (for too much sun or in case of rain) and throw blanket. I was never a Boy Scout but I am prepared. Just my $.02 for adding weight to a Jaguar!

I had the trunk loaded today with about 60 pounds of stuff and the car definitely rode smoother. Maybe you want to give this a try.
