I liked the 2nd generation ES ('97-'01) but I can't get past the styling of this new one. Too Asian for me. The tires also look undersized with the bulkier side bodywork. The interior is nice, though, and the reliability is no doubt superior to Audi/BMW/Mercedes/Jaguar.

You got a easier-to-live-with car, but sacraficed social prestige by going "downmarket" with a Japanese marque.
