I'm with ya Rich,

I have 5K on a 3.0 no problems they put the car together very well.

You have to talk nice to it. after all it is a feline. Owning a Jaguar is akin to haveing a mistress and if you treat her nice she'll purr for a long time. I also have a 1987 XJ6 all orginal with 90K+ wouldn't trade it for the world. I drive them because I love the Marque.

BMW, Mercedes, Audi (Auto Union), VW, Lexus, Infinity are all very good well engineered automobiles but they ain't a Jag. Besides the qurks the Jaguars have gives us something to talk about at our Jag club dinner meetings.

Cheers,

Bob

Just thought it would be worth posting a positive report from someone with 15k miles on an X. It's been in to the dealer for one oil change...about a 2 hour checkup. That's it. No other significant problems, and I live in northern Vermont, where conditions include severe dirt roads, plenty of snow, and rather cold temperatures. I run the car fairly hard, but it seems to take it with no problem.

Seems there's some kind of karma or fate here with these X's. They just don't work for everyone...kind of like most things in life.
