1 I didn't say anything about all BMW owners.
2 I didn't say all BMWs burn oil, I am merely quoting that BMW says burning a quart of oil every 750 miles is within spec and will not replace engine or attempt repairs under warranty.
3 Ask 540 owners what they have experienced in terms of repairs.
4 I didn't go post on BMW board, he came here.
5 If you haven't had problems with your BMWs then you don't know how they handle major warranty claims. I have had problems so I know.
doesnt mean you need to take it out on all bmw owners or our friendly board---
myself and my immediate family have had the joy of owning several bmws....all have been trouble-free....dealer experiences pleasant...and no burning oil stories---
you will not be taken seriously if you speak out of anger....because you just arent making sense

If its no problem then put into contract that if oil consumption is over 1 qt per 3000 miles they'll replace the engine. When they refuse you can eat your red herring.
In any case, it's a red herring.
