Two weeks after we picked up our new Jag from the dealer, My wife called me from the parking lot and told me the car was not moving and the
"gearbox at fault" and "engine at fault" meassages kept popping up. So I told her to restart the engine and it seemed fine at that time. After she drove the car for about 5 miles, the problem reoccured and the car started
choking and stalling badly at a low speed. Even though she stepped on the gas paddle, it still wouldn't go. So, we called the Jag Roadside Assistance and fortunately, it was not a major problem. According to the dealer, it was due to some kind of "switch pressure sensor failure" and they replaced the switch for me and fixed the washer fluid leaking problem I was also having.
Everything seems fine since then and I do like my car very much. I really don't mind the little problems, but I am afraid of the "High Speed Drive Shaft" and "Cold/low speed whine" noise. Hopefully, my car will not experience these problems.
P.S. I am very upset with the loaner that I got. It was a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, which was smelly, and rided like it was going to break down
at anytime. After reading all the postings from you guys, I expected to drive home an S-Type that night.
