BMWs have lots of problems and BMW tries to avoid paying on warranty claims. If you don't know this you are new and naive to BMW ownership. All you need do is have the dealer write in you sales contract what oil consumption is normal and what is excessive oil consumption, for which they will replace an engine. Now go back to your ignorance and your ignorant BMW owners board. The honest people that have owned several BMWs, such as myself, can only give you advice. It is up to you to act on it, if you have the guts.

I got nothing against BMW just their owners posting under whole bunch of names and commenting on a car they have no ACTUAL experience with.

Well Clyde is actually my name. ROFL isn’t much of a name is it?

Your "funny story" might be funny if you actually knows anything about the car. Actually i think you do KNOW A BIT ABOUT OUR CARS, you're just jealeous that is stronger structurally, looks better, better with the women, keeps up and carry more panche than your BMW.

I don’t know how your car is with the women, but I leave mine in the garage. If a woman was after me because of my car, I would avoid her. (also - I am not jealous of anyone who doesn’t know how to spell ‘jealous’ or ‘panache’)

But, let me guess anyway....you are one of those that was in the market for a new car, but turn away due to Jaguar is now owned by Ford, never test drove the car and expected the worse. It now bug you that the car turned out to be a excellent car and instant winner. Tell me if i'm too far off.

Excellent car? Instant winner? Based on what? X-type quality is terrible, Jaguar is unresponsive, reviews are mixed, and much better cars are out there. The G35 is the first car in a long time that has the potential (once the 6-speed version is released) to unseat the 3 series. No one even considers the X-type to be a contender…
