Many things is the new Jag, but not a badged up Ford. At least not in any way similar to any Ford that I have ever owned. The Jag and the Mondeo apparently do share some parts, up to 18-20%, to keep costs down. Nothing wrong with Ford parts. But I'm not a purist or an elitist that way. For example, if a tranny or differential works well, why should I care about its provenance? or its looks? Just its reliability.
