I also leave the DSC on all the time. What it does is simply to ensure turning angle of the car does correspond to what the driver wants. It will brake the appropriate wheel independently to generate a counter-torque in case of understeer or oversteer automatically. Thus, I don't believe it will hurt the fuel economy, acceleration or brake life. However, when I read my X-type manual (mind is the 2.5), they mention "Traction Control" along with the stability control. Does it mean "Traction Control" is included if our car is equipped with "Stability Control"?
I have posted this once before, but got no response...
In what way does the stability control hurt/help acceleration? Fuel economy? Brake life? I drive around with mine on all the time...is there a chance that this could hurt it???
Thanks in advance
Chris
