I've got one of those service managers that always uses the phrases, "they all do that" and "that's not possible". It's tough when you always have to jump through hoops to try and have something done, when you know it can and you are constantly told "I'll have to find out, I'll call you". Then you never get a call and when you call back, you're told Jaguar said "not possible" or "they don't know anything about it". Sadly this dealer is the only one in town.

Mike, unfortunately global open is not available, according to my dealer. If anyone finds out something different, a post on it would be great.

Steve

Alan,

Did you also ask about global open? I was hoping to able to have that feature programmed. After sitting in the sun for a while, It's great to be able to open all windows and sunroof from the remote and let the car cool off before getting in.

Mike

I got back earlier this evening from a service visit to address several issues, including the weeping washer nozzles , dead right xenon headlight, some noises/rattles, and a request to add the 'global close' feature.

I know some others here have reported having difficulty getting their dealerships to implement the global close feature with the remote in the U.S. Momentum in Houston was very helpful and added it to my car.

The service sheet shows

When I took my car in I showed them postings from this board stating that this was possible and that they might need to call regional to get instructions on how to do it. They didn't question anything and had it working for me when I picked the car up. I'm happy that now I'll be able to close my windows and sunroof from the office if it starts to rain without having to run out into it!
