Thanks for keeping us updated on the X-type. I'm glad to see a new metallic red. I hope it is brighter than Carnival, currently used. I also hope we in North America can get more interior color options. Glad to hear Jaguar is on track with the F-Type. There have been several articles mentioning a delay, or eliminating it altogether. We who have already purchased an X-Type are still waiting for several "fixes", including the propshaft and trunk lock. Maybe Mark Fields, the new PAG manager from Mazda, can help with your Japanese quality control practices.

tooling up for using more aluminium panels parts etc, trialing new colours jag green new red metallic etc. Also upgrading parts etc. No real internal changes they will be on models from 2004 onwards with external changes if any. F type still on course for end 2003 early 2004 still undecided over engine, wether steel or aluminium or mix of both in components. Recent changes affect management only because ford make more money from European Premium brands than internal sales in us hence severing lincoln from premium auto group. New procedures being introduced in halewood using japanese practices making the x type even more quality orientated. You will see the benefits and you will be the true measure wether we are delivering. We have only been building the x type for a year be patient you will be rewarded in the long run..
