The auto climate control can act non-intuitively at times. It factors in not only the cabin temp, but the external temp and the amount of sunshine entering the cabin (notice that sensor on the front/driver-side corner of the dash). Did you dial down the temp setting?

On a related note, I finally had the need to turn on the defrost. Amazing! Cleared the whole windshied in seconds. If I had been wearing a hat it would have blown it to the rear parcel shelf...
