The front plate on the X-Type fits into a special plastic surround that is molded to the front bumper. Don't just drill holes in the bumper and mount the plate.

Contact your selling dealer and request the plastic "bracket". Or visit your local dealer and try to get one.

Be careful not to mess up your bumper inadvertently.


I appreciate the suggestion. My problem is that I bought the car on-line from an on-line broker. I live in San Francisco but the Jag was from a dealer near Beverly Hills. Looks like I'll need to get some screws and a drill bit.
