I think the reason so many don't believe Stemll is because they are not aware of the X4 Retro-option back that somehow came with his demo car:
X4 Options:
-Manual Airconditioning, no Climate control
-Drum Brakes
-8-Track Tape deck
-Manual Door locks
-4 Barrell Carburator
-Cloth seats

I believe Jaguar has done away with this early options pack due to lack of interest.

Stemll is obviously in the UK. You may not be aware of the options available here, but just to clarify things my 2.5 X-Type also has:

Cloth Seats
Manual aircon (no climate control)
Manual windows in the rear.
Manual seat adjustment (apart from electric height adjustment).
No message centre.
No external temperature display.

We are not limited by "packages", we just add on the bits we want. Mine is a basic spec., but I added metallic paint, auto transmission and a front windscreen heater.
