The sensor for the airbag might be faulty. I'd suggest calling your service department and have them check it out.
Mike
I have had the airbag warning light come on on my 3.0 sport (3.9k) for the last couple of nights. I know that if you lean on the seat or place a heavyish object on it it illuminates, but this started happening after hitting the brakes hard with nobody else in the car.
Anyone know if it is possible to disable it or change the sensitivity?.
I guess I could paint over the dashboard to cover it up!...seems far more annoying at night
Mine sometimes stays on without anything in the passenger seat, particularly on cold mornings. Once the car inside environment warms up it goes out by itself or when I restart the engine. I've had the service centre "re-calibrate" it it but it just seems a bit marginal.
