You buy a 17 year old kid a car that expensive as his first car, he will never lean the value of a dollar. He will think his rich father will bail him out of every problem and he will never become a man. Look at the Kenedy's!

I come from a family of means but my parents NEVER spoiled me or let me forget hard work or self respect. If you are hell bent on buying a 17 year old child a car, buy him a Volvo 240GL or a used Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. He will lean to respect material things, and not expect the world!

We have enough people ruining this world because wealthy parents didn't know how to raise thier children with respect for money.

I currently drive an S type and I have had a few problems with it but nothing major. My only child, a son, is graduating from high school this June and I would like to suprise him with another car this time a Jaguar X-type but I would like to know if you think a 17 year old would look appropriate in a Jaguar. My wife and I have been looking at cars and we're hooked on the x-type or a boxster.
