I would like to thank everyone who took the time to reply to my post. My son is almost 18 and got his license in the middle of his 16th year. When he got his license I immediately bought him a Toyota Corrola so that he can build experience behind the wheel because I know how it feels to want a car once you can legally drive. I decided on either a Jag or a Porsche because he has posters of them all over his bedroom and on his binder. I live in Montecito, CA which is near Santa Barbara and we have a lot of traffic and very narrow over crowded streets which in my opinion can benefit your driving skills. He is an excellent student and I believe he is deserving of a nicer car. Someone in here mentioned the city of Palm Beach, Fl and I would like to point out that my wife is from there and we spend out winters over there and if those people know how to do one thing it's either party or spend a lot of money especially on vehicles. I myself come from a wealthy family and I very glad I do because that priviledge opened many doors for me which would have been a lot harder for me to open if I didn't come from a family like mine. Living in Montecito which is rather wealthy I have seen the way some of the residents spoil their children and in my opinion spoiling has its pros and cons. One of the pros is that it can put an image of what to aim for in the future and I don't think I need to list the cons because we all know what they are. I am not one to spoil my son because my wife does a wonderful job at that. I considered the Jaguar because I drive one and I love the way it looks inside and out. My wife on the other hand is a Mercedes fan and that is why she drives an S class which I bought for her on our anniversary. Again I would like to thank all of you for repsonding to my post. I really enjoyed reading them.
