So you can understand the quaetion based on your response, if my stopwatch shows that Car and Driver Magazine is correct will Jag and Ford repair the car and bring it up to spec? Please remember that Jag gave "prototypes" to the press for review which matched their specs and then in the first US production review it fails to match the spec by a large margin. This shows intent to defraud, unless Jag and Ford stand behind their specs in writting. That is all I am asking for them to do. In fact, I expect them to do it with pride and honorin their product.
By the way, so you understand how large a difference the acceleration figures have, every tenth ofa second is approximately one car length or over 5 meters. The difference between the "prototype" and the production X is over 30 meters.

I see some of you get defensive, but the question is very simple. Are all the specs in the brocure, especialy those of HP and acceleration, guaranteed by Jag and Ford?
This question has nothing to do with you liking or not liking the X type. It has nothing to do with how well the X type is selling. The point is that no one from the upper eschelons of Jag or Ford has posted that they stand behind their specs. There is no defense for them to not honor the specifications as printed in the brochure. Is anyone from either of these corporations out there?

Do you need them to? Get a stopwatch and check it yourself.
