That's exactly my point! That's where the market base is for the X-Type. Not from BMW3 shoppers, but from Jaguar enthusiasts who, like me, couldn't afford them before.

The sales figures prove my point. X-Types are selling almost half as many units as BMW3s, which is a large enough fraction that, if the X sales were really BMW conquests, you would see a huge drop in 3 sales. Yet sales of the 3-series haven't decreased at all from last year - in fact, they've increased slightly. So, where did all these X-Type buyers come from? From people like me, who weren't going to buy a BMW3 anyway.
