I investigated this in the States and found out that the installed phone used is in fact Jaguar specific. I already have a timeport phone and tried it in the system and it did not integrate with it.

I agree that the price is outrageously expensive considering that the phone is prewired and the radio head unit from which you dial from is already in the car.

However, the $995.00 Canadian you were quoted is an excellent price. The price in the States (at least quoted by my dealer) is $1600. It would be more than worth it for me to drive to Canada to have the phone installed there, given the price you were quoted and the exchange rate!!!

Can anyone who has the Motorola Timeport Phone let us know the Motorola model number. I priced the phone at my dealer and they wanted $995.00 for the phone and spare battery. Bell Mobility sells the CDMA Timeport for $369.00 with a $100 mail in rebate. I don't think the leaper is worht $600 ! The rest of the kit is resonable. Anyone in Canada have this option installed ?
MAny thanks
