Hello, I took delivery this afternoon of my new xtype ordered on Jan 25th. 2.5 manual BRG/Sand with Winter package and in dash CD. Nothing more option wise other than the trunk carpet and the trunk mounted umbrella holder. Very civilized ! Some interesting things to report ! Build date on the car is 02/02 1. Wind shield washers nozzles leaking problem now fixed at factory. 2. Trunk latch problem also fixed at factory. 3. Rocking seat problem also fixed at the factory. The dealer tells me that these problems are fixed on all cars produced in the second half of 01 and onwards. The head unit on this car has switches to control the indash CD as well as the optional CD changer. The dealer also tells me that the CD changer unit can be interchanged for a mini disk or MP3 player connected to the adaptor unit as th head unit is prewired to control the trunk option. The other intersting thing the dealer mentioned was that all cars produced after 01/02 are pre wired for voice activation. Prior to that it will be a retrofit. I am in Canada so this might be cars for the Canadian market. I asked the dealer about phaseout of BRG... he was unaware but would look into it for me. He mentioned I may have a collectors item. Anyway I though it would be interesting to report some of these fixes. I only have 40km on the car but its a dream. Cheers Robin
