Go with the origional. BMW invented and perfected this catagory a long time ago while Jaguar is just getting its feet wet. The BMW outperforms the Jaguar in just about every catagory(anybody who tries to prove this wrong doesn't really know anything about cars. though the Jag does have all-wheel drive which does put an edge on the bimmer in a couple catagories). I'm talking about performance here not luxury. If you want to be pampred then go with the Jag. If you truly ENJOY the thrill of DRIVING then go with the Bimmer. Not to mention that the BMW has a better resale value. But hey it's your money and your best bet is to test drive them both.I have driven both and to be quite frank I was not impressed with the Jag.
Good Luck!

I must confess that I am fascinated by the number of BMW owners who just happen to be dropping by this site to comment. I love BMW's and if everyman, his dog and his mate kevin all didn't drive BMW's I would probably have been tempted. Still, what are boys doing on our message board? If you don't own or have test-driven the cars in question yourselves, your interest must spring from the fact that you are in doubt whether you bought the right car.
