Emerald green might be replaced by Aspen Green (archive)

when I ordered my emerald the dealer phoned me a few days later to say Jaguar had stopped making emerald green X-types and had replaced the colour with "aspen green" (another dark metallic green). When I picked up the car, though, he told me that Jaguar decided to make a few more runs of emerald X-types, and my car is emerald green. I don't know whether they're continuing to produce emerald or whether they have replaced this colour with aspen.

They're such similar colours as to not bother with the differences (the S-type already comes in Aspen).

If your dealer phones you up to say you have to swap emerald for aspen, don't be surprised, and aspen is just as nice as emerald, IMHO.

Whatever happens with your colour, I would be very interested in knowing whether Jag are still making emeralds or whether they've changed it to aspen - please keep me informed.
