Autolock is not Passive arming (archive)

Hi,
Just got back form my dealer. They did the "dealer option" reset so that my X now has what they call autolock. The only time it works is that you have to unlock the car with teh fob; not open a door or start the engine and then approximately 45 seconds later it relocks and rearms. Not what I had in mind. Namely, I wanted to have the alarm system automatically lock and arm itself if I forgot to push the fob button.
Service said they would send a note to the JAG hotline and ask if it IS possible to passive arm and if so how to do it. They said their manuals did not list it as an option. What was listed in the owner's manual is what they think they did. I disagree but will have to wait.
Anyone else have true passive arming?
Rich N
