As with others, I'm not sure if the whine I hearr is the same one you hear. My 2.5 manual (3200 miles) started a whining noise at about 85-90 MPH (140 KPH) during both light throttle and deceleration. However, it stops during the transition from throttle to coasting and back to light throttle again. I also hear a slight warbling whine briefly when just starting out on a cool morning. It only lasts about 30 seconds, then is gone.
Can anyone give me more info on the whining noise reported here. How loud is it? I can hear a slight noise at around 45-55mph when accelerating but I'm not sure if I would have noticed it had I not been listening out for it after reading of others experiences here. Does the noise get worse over time (1 only have 150miles on the clock. Any info on what to expect would be appreciated.
