Adrian,

The noise on my car is pretty loud, but happens only under specific conditions. You can check my previous post for details, but the noise has only happened 4 times in the 4 months I have had my car. These forums provide a wealth of information but can also make you paranoid after reading several posts about the same problem. Unless you replace your old car with the same model, your new car will make different sounds, especially if the drivetrain is a different configuration (fwd, awd, rwd). If you are not sure your car is making sounds that indicate something is wrong, check with your service advisor and make an appointment to bring it in. At least you will have a record that you mentioned it if the noise gets worse.

Mike

Can anyone give me more info on the whining noise reported here. How loud is it? I can hear a slight noise at around 45-55mph when accelerating but I'm not sure if I would have noticed it had I not been listening out for it after reading of others experiences here. Does the noise get worse over time (1 only have 150miles on the clock. Any info on what to expect would be appreciated.
