I'm not sure if I am hearing the same whining noise or not either. The noise I hear seemssomewhat like yours since it is very faint, but I hear it most between 60 and 70mph with acceleration and sometimes just cruising at those speeds. Another feature I have noticed is it seems louder to me in the passenger front seat. One description I read sounded pretty accurate, "like rubbing your finger around the edge of a wine glass"; it seems to have the same repetitive melodic quality. It sounds like the noise most have been describing here is a little more obvious and they say it occurs when the car is cold. There may be more than one type of whining noise going on.

Can anyone give me more info on the whining noise reported here. How loud is it? I can hear a slight noise at around 45-55mph when accelerating but I'm not sure if I would have noticed it had I not been listening out for it after reading of others experiences here. Does the noise get worse over time (1 only have 150miles on the clock. Any info on what to expect would be appreciated.
