I have a 2.5 manual and have the same resonant whine -- only below 40degF, 23 to 27 MPH, only during steady speed or deceleration, in any gear, only occurs during the first minute or so of driving. My thoughts are that maybe it is the AWD differential / viscous coupling? (seems to come from underneath the gearshift area). I'm okay with it for now (still waiting for that first 5degF morning) but would be interested to hear what a dealer or Jaguar says.
